I started working at Cloverdale Funeral Home in June of 1982 and began my apprenticeship.  At that point, I really didn’t know what I wanted to do for a career, but I figured I would try it out for a year so that I could save money to buy a car and then go to college.  As things went on, I fit in pretty well at Cloverdale and I decided that going to Mortuary school would be my next step.  One year of apprenticeship and three years of college later, I passed the board exams and was a licensed Mortician in June of 1986.  I was 22 years old.

After college I continued to work for Dan and Tim Gibson at Cloverdale Funeral Home.  It was a dynamic organization including cemetery sales,  pre-arrangement sales force, cremator operation, and traditional services with focus on Catholic and LDS services.

The following years I worked at Alsip Funeral Chapel in Nampa; Dakan Funeral Chapel in Caldwell and a few years in Sales at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Caldwell.  In 2012 I returned to Cloverdale Funeral Home to work as an embalmer and crematory operator.  Spending full time in the prep room for ten years helped me to specialize in high quality embalming, restoration, and cosmetology.   I found the fast-paced environment challenging and rewarding.

In the past I had often contemplated becoming a trade embalmer but was reluctant to take the plunge.  However, several factors such as population growth and the lack of qualified funeral directors and embalmers available for hire, put me in the prime position to start Six Point Services.  I am determined to provide the most professional and highest quality mortuary support services available.
