This is a four hour class consisting of half an hour of introduction and explanation of the procedure, three hours of practical training  and practice during the embalming autopsy embalming process, and a half hour of recap and questions.   This class is only for licensed funeral home staff.

2. How to protect the dignity of and respect of the deceased.
3. How to structure your approach to maximize safety and efficiency.
4. How to set up the prep room in advance to minimize cross contamination
5. Introduction to low exposure cavity and embalming fluids.
6. How to control exposure when using formaldehyde.
7. How to prepare the viscera and different methods of replacement.
8. How to use special instruments to aid in the embalming process.
9. Methods and remedies for the use of Dryene or Phenol products.
10. How to find and prepare the vessels for injection.
11. How to approach the procedure for embalming and restoration for completion in two hours.
12. How to suture and prepare the suture areas to prevent leakage.
13. How to hypodermically inject the flaps, buttocks.
14. How to prepare the cranium for closure.
15. How to use glue to set the cranium.
16. How to prepare the body when shipping.
